I got my Jack LaLanne juicer from Costco for less than $100. If you don't have a Costco membership, you can request a day pass from the Customer Service desk, but you'll have to pay for your purchases with cash (or a debit card...ask when you go in).

Anyway, I love my juicer. It's not the same to use a blender. It's a bit of a pain to clean the juicer, but it can be done in 10 minutes or less. What's great is minimal prep for the fruits and vegetables. The juice tastes great! Kale + apple = awesome. Carrot, apple, and ginger = delicious.

Check craigslist.org and the like for people selling used, too.

~Karen

I juice with my very inexpensive smart stick, which cost something like $30, plus or minus. The real advantage is that it doesn't discard all that great fiber. Yes, this might not be upscale juicing, but to me this isn't important. I have my juice, and much of my veggie fiber this way. Consider it...

Yep, there I am, swimming through the desert sands. Might just be a mirage, after all. But this is life, and we learn best about it if we explore it, and take our chances. A life unexplored, after all, is one of the saddest things out there.

Buy second hand. My parents got a juicer. Used it a grand total of twice and haven't used it again. Many others will be in the same situation and will be trying to offload it for next to nothing.

Why not just use your blender? Can can keep the good stuff [fiber] and still blend in veggies with your fruit if that is what you are trying to do.

I would check craigs list and ebay and see if you can get one cheaper. You really don't want a juicer for under $100 because it won't work and it will take forever and a year to clean. I am saving up for a double auger. Green Star (i think) makes a good one. A good blender like a nutribullet may also be used to juice. Actually I use my vitamix so I keep all the nutrients.

I'm looking to start juicing some, but can't afford a few hundred dollars for a juicer. Does anyone have experience with a juicer for under $100 that works well enough for a few uses a week?
