If you can stick with romaine it is usually fresher and will not go limp as quick. You can also as I saw on pinterest break it up and put it in a glass mason jar to keep crisp longer. I will buy the bagged things once in awhile but find they go bad before the date printed, are not crisp, and also unless on sale for buy one get one free they are not a value either. When I am not sure how much romaine I will use instead of buying them and cutting up I get a box from the produce department, still cheaper and more value than the bags when the math is done.
