commercially made ones generally have added chemicals

I make my own as well, and I think they are a little softer than store bought ones. I'm not entirely sure, because I haven't had store bought ones in years. Most of the other fruit I dry is pretty hard, just not the bananas.

I have a food dehydrator and i do bananas. After a few attempts i have noticed that they still do not end up as hard/brittle like store bought ones. I do not use any kind of chemical treatment on them so i think that might be why,

Does anyone else make their own and do they end up soft or hard?
