Everytime I tried to use a meal replacement for weight loss, I found it unsatisfying after a few weeks, and I'd go back to overeating and regaining.. I stay away from them, always left me feeling hungry later in the day and to much protien can lead to kidney damage..

I made one this morning with skim milk (1 cup), Nesquick no-sugar chocolate powder (2 tbsp), peanut butter (1 tbsp), instant coffee for my morning kick (1 tsp), and 4 ice cups. It was soooo tasty after a good blend. If you've ever eaten Reese's Peanut Butter cereal, it tasted just like it. At 250 calories, ~14g protein, and a big kick of calcium, it was a nice way to start the day, particularly after a morning walk/run.

Make your own! The pre-packaged ones are full of corn syrup or artificial sweetners. My favorite is banana, soy milk, protein powder, frozen berries, and kale. (You don't even taste the kale a little bit!) You can also add oatmeal to it to make it really filling and full of whole grains.
