So much today! I was doing a conference and they provided granola bars, candy, candy bars, chips, crackers, (save me!) and at lunch I asked for no rice. Tonight I'm making the kids burgers with steak fries and spinach salad and I am having a burger patty with no bun or no fries - just a big salad. I forgot to buy my dessert, but I ended up presenting all day and never had a chance to eat my fruit. So I think I'll bake my apple - I have some cinnamon and ff half and half.

Last night I went out of dinner and ordered chili con carne and salad, a pretty safe choice at a place that specializes in burgers and poutine. But then it came with two giant onion rings on top! I set them aside and ignored them, ate the salad and half the chili (took the rest home in a doggie bag).

PB M&Ms!

Today I ate my dinner at Lunchtime - leftovers at the apartment we're still packing up and clearing out - with two common after-effects: cravings for something sweet, and wanting to take a nap. I told myself: wait 30 minutes -
if you still want candy, eat some. (Hadn't decided what to do is I was still nodding off...)

I decided to work on Spark while my "big meal" digested, and completely forgot all about the cravings - and even when I remembered while doing my food tracker, the cravings were far less intense and I stayed on track. When I stop for a break, I start yawning again, but as long as I get back up and work,
I can deal with it.

"Just wait 30 minutes..." IT WORKED!

I was hungry almost immediately after I woke up and didn't feel like making anything right away so I thought about eating the rest of the starburst roll I bought yesterday. Then I thought, well candy for breakfast isn't really healthy. I'm trying to learn not to eat on impulse and with sweets I always seem to have to trouble with having to have it right now! So I'm proud of myself for eating a healthy breakfast and not the starburst.

My husband, knowing how stressed I have been the past two days, gave me a Heath candy bar; he knows Heath and Skor bars are my favorite. BUT..I have already added what my lunch and snack will be today, and I've put the candy away in my purse to either have tomorrow, or to break into sections to have a tiny bit every day to stave off chocolate cravings. :)

Absolutely nothing!! Everything in moderation.

I went home for lunch and my husband was repackaging some candied almonds w/ cranberries. I knew they I hadn't noted them in my food record yet and I knew they were a higher cal food, but I wanted to try some, so I did. I stopped at what would have been less than a serving size and enjoyed every single bite!! I added them to my nutrition tracker and I'm okay with it!

... NOT tracking... I've been so pressured and stressed lately, I was tempted to stop measuring my food and eat whatever I wanted, and flake on my nutrition tracker - but I DIDN'T. Sticking with my tracking helped me stay on track food-wise, and I didn't binge-eat. emoticon
