I use seltzer water in place of tonic for mixed drinks a lot. I also drink it in place of drinking during the week if we have friends over. Definitely a good replacement for soda.

I have been able to give up my love of soda. I do enjoy my carbonated water. I make sure to read the labels to make sure everything is ok.

Make sure you read the labels, as a fewof the flavored/carbonated waters have added sugars and have a few calories. I don't count those as 'water'. Most are fine, though.

Thanks so much! I will go and get me a few flavors. I hope that I will eventually get tired of the flavors and the carbonation...but right now I just miss it. Ha ha

I used to drink carbonated flavored water, and yes, it does count for water and has no calories. It took me a few years to get tired of the flavors, and then another few years to get tired of the carbonation. Now I never buy water, I just use Britta and love it.

I have totally stopped drinking regular and diet sodas and I am actually doing really good. I don't miss the cokes, but what I miss is the burn in my mouth from the carbonation. My question is this....Do carbonated waters count as water? Are they healthy? A lot of the stores around here have the different flavored waters, and I would love to drink them, but I don't want to if they are not good for me.
