I drink Kefir in a fruit/avocado smoothie every morning for breakfast. I make my own Kefir at home which is super easy.

I love it. I tried it looking for a way to add more pro-biotics to my diet. Watch your labels, they don't all have active cultures. And they are unfortunately often high in sugar. One of these days I'm going to make my own. I've done a bit of reading on it and seems easy to do.

I don't have it nearly enough, though. I have it daily when I have it on hand.

I've been drinking kefir since I was a little girl, and we went to Mathis Dairy in Atlanta. :) It's good stuff; I prefer it as my probiotic source, as I'm not really a huge yogurt fan. I don't drink a LOT of it, because I prefer to drink water or less thick sources for my fluids, but it's a nice treat, and something I turn to when I need probiotics (mouth ulcers or somesuch.)

It might be an acquired taste for some, as it can be kinda tart, but I have been drinking it so long I couldn't tell you when I started. My earliest memories of it were when I was around 5-6!

I use it when I'm caught out with no good options and it's available in store or in a machine. It's higher in calories than its equivalent in yogurt, and it's damned hard to find one that's not loaded with sugar.

That said, it's certainly a pleasant way to get some dairy.

I never knew what it was until I tried the 17 day diet... for 5 days... what do you think of it? Does it help you?
