I think you're in the right place :) There's lots of type 2 diabetics who utilize the site here to help them get healthier and manage their diabetes.

There's an 8-week diabetes related weight loss challenge on the site. Here's a link to the SparkTeam: www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/groups_individ

There's also a Managing Diabetes SparkTeam that might have some good info and resources over here: www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/groups_individ

Sorry if that isn't of much help to you. If you have any specific questions feel free to ask away.

Sure. It is a great site for those types of things. You'll find a lot of people with the same issues here (including me).

The site is huge and complicated. It can be a little overwhelming at first. I recommend doing some of the "how to" tutorials and go through the process of getting started, setting up your SparkPage, setting some little goals, etc. one step at a time. Don't try to do everything at once -- and you'll soon find that you have established a strong foundation to maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Good luck to you! ... and WELCOME!

Hi. I'm somewhat new here and I am not sure if Spark page is really where I should be. I need to loose weight and improve my nutrition. I'm wondering if I can deal with my weight and nutrition along with my type 2 diabetes in this site? Thanks for any help that you can give me. Paul
