If it's H2O in your cup, it's H2O in your body. Just watch out for the diuretic things.

When tracking my water consumption on my SP tracker, I only count water. However, when I choose something other than water, I stick with tea or a little lemon or orange in my water.

Everything counts as water!!!!
Milk, coffee, tea, soda, juice, soup, etc.

However, for dieting, there are reasons you may want to focus on plain water, herbal or decaf teas, decaf coffee, etc.

I buy boxed herbal teas (like celestial seasonings) of all flavors, and pop one tea bag in my water bottle. It adds just a touch of flavor, so it stays really refreshing. I also drink Chai all morning. That one is a bother, cause i do forget to count the cals in the milk!

Yes, drink water but other sources like fruits and veggies count too! Some fruits and veggies can hydrate you just as well as water. They also can act as a natural diruetic.

Asparagus, watermelon altho its high in sugar (DIABETICS EAT WATERMELON 1/2 CUP AT A TIME ONLY IF YOUR NUMBERS ARE STEADY AND SPARINGLY), cucumber, celery, spinach, iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, zucchini, radishes, eggplant, cabbage, cauliflower, sweet peppers, spinach, strawberries, grapefruit and brocolli, artichokes, watercress, cabbage, onion, even carrots, cantalope, ice slushies made from fresh berries, and also homemade veggie soup (less sodium when homemade.) All of these can hydrate you.

I personally dont care for Crystal Light, but you might try Ocean Spray Diet Cranberry Juice which has only 2 sugars. I mix 1/2 cranberry and 1/2 water for a little flavor. Lemon Water is good too! Trader Joes has Kettle Brewed Black Tea unsweetened which is good for weight loss and tastes great too me. I hear their Green Tea is also good.

I count water and caffeine-free hot tea.

I try not to do artificial sweeteners...so I don't drink crystal light.

Also, the doc told me for every cup of coffee you drink, drink an extra glass of water since coffee dehydrates you.

EVERYTHING YOU DRINK COUNTS. Doesn't matter if it has color, flavor, sweetener or caffeine, they ALL count. There are limits on some categories, but the bottom line is, they ALL count.

I usually just count straight water or seltzer... Nothing added or flavored. But I'm thinking crystal light or non-caloric sweeteners help me drink more water sometimes. So what do you count as water?
