Last weekend I was out for a walk with one of my friends, and she really wanted ice cream. So we stopped at the convenience store and I bought a packaged ice cream cone. After the first bite all I could taste was the sugar, and started getting a headache. Tonight I was tired and didn't want to make an entire meal, so I heated up canned soup and added a few vegetables, chicken, and spices to it. Even so, it wasn't that great and the amount of salt in it (none added by me) was way too much and almost made it inedible. So basically, I'm finding very sugary or salty foods gross. Also bread I haven't baked myself. For the past few weeks, I've only been making my own bread. I bought a loaf from the bakery the other day and it was extremely unsatisfying.

Fried foods and chinese food! Yuck! Both make me feel awful now. I use to love Chinese food especially, but I can't stand it now. Too much sodium and other junk. I do wish I was disgusted by Mexican food, but I actually love it more because I've learned to make it at home with healthier ingredients with half the calories.

Cannot even start to drink sodas with high fructose corn syrup (HFCS). Fountain Dr. Pepper was my old summer-time favorite: I could consume a day's worth of calories that way! Still loved Dublin Dr. Pepper as a rare treat -- made with Imperial Sugar from original recipe rather than corn syrup -- until the take-over company pulled it from the market. Cannot eat anything with HFCS, like Little Debbie honey buns or swiss rolls. WIll not even consider eating fast food garbage -- anything -- from McDonald's/ Taco-Bell/ etc. Just too gross to even consider now. Strange, isn't it, how our poor taste buds have adapted to healthier tastes?? - Maryjean

Artificial sweetners! Yuck! Fast food, although I still kind of enjoy the taste, I hate the crappy way it makes me feel, especially french fries. So I may eat a sandwich, but I stay away from sandwich and fries.

After giving up sweets for lent and trying my best to eat "clean," I realized a lot of the foods I thought I loved and hadn't had for a long time do not satisfy my as I did before. When I inindulge, it BETTER be worth it! I'm very picky with sweets, and candy no longer satisfies me, except chocolate ofcourse. Onion rings, fries, etc. are just appaling now. Many chip brands just dont taste as good anymore. I can also tell whenever something has artifical sweeteners or has high fructose corn syrup. I like my food to have substance and flavor, not bland salty and processed.

Processed food. Artificial sweeteners. Crappy food. I'll always love sweets and chocolate, but now when I indulge, rarely, I get the BEST I can get. :) I love the way I look at food now, to fuel my body more than to just EAT.

Any fast food potatoes/hashbrowns. Any type of candy - makes me physically sick. Anything deep fried or just plain greasy. I do however still love a great burger, my ultimate weakness.
Starting over - Another new challenge!

Burger King hashbrowns! A family member had them this week and I lifted one up, contemplating it ... but it was so greasy. My stomach twisted just looking at it and smelling it!!

Soda, Spaghettios, and any "fruit" flavored candy like Skittles or gummi bears. I'm even wearing off of Hershey's chocolate and hot chocolate because I feel so gross after eating it. Now I've moved on to organic and higher quality chocolate. (Oh, no, I didn't GIVE UP chocolate completely!!) :)

I used to love McDonalds! Now, if I want a cheeseburger and fries, I go home and make them myself. I get to choose my meat, my cheese, my bun, and how to prepare the fries! So much better than McDonalds!!

Anything high in sodium. I think it was responsible for a lot of my weight - along with stress, of course. Now I avoid all sodium-intensive foods!

I don't exactly find it "gross" but my answer is chips. I used to love chips and eat an entire bags worth within 2 days. I had some a few weeks ago and couldn't even eat them because all I tasted was grease. eek. I'll still have cheetos or doritos on occasion...but actual potato chips just makes me cringe now.
Feel free to add me as a friend! :):):)

Fast food french fries...they leave this film of grease on the inside of my mouth that I can't quite get rid of. Threw the last batch out, and that was two years ago! I also lost my taste for meat--didn't plan on cutting it out. I just can't stand the feeling of chewing it.

Chicken McNuggets! One day I got some and they forgot to give me my sauce. I tried to choke them down without sauce...no go. I realized that if I needed to have sauce in order to make something palatable, I probably should not eat it.
