Soups. I always keep a cabinet full of different flavors. There is a huge variety that have only 80 calories per serving (160 per can). In summer I make my own from local produce. This gets me by for lunch every day.

Creamy peanut butter, chunky peanut butter, natural peanut butter, all brands, all flavors, all textures!
It's a health food and a comfort food all rolled into one.
It's got protein, and sweetness and texture and good fats and some saltiness!
It's satisfying and nutritious! You can eat it for breakfast, for lunch, for dinner, for dessert, for late night snaking!
You can put it on whole grain toast, on apples and celery and wheat saltines.
You can eat it right off the spoon! It is portable, long lasting, and always always there. You can make a peanut butter and banana sandwich on wheat bread, wrap it up and leave it in your bag for an after workout snack.
Peanut butter, the food of heaven! Was it satirist Tom Lehr who said: "Man does not live by bread alone.. he must have peanut butter on it!"
AND it's easily measureable.. so you can count the calories!
Gotta have it! (its even good with sugar free jelly!!)
