Eggs - preferably farm fresh - otherwise cage free organic.
Breakfast, lunch, or dinner, they are a perfectly balanced protein.
Lately I've been keeping peppers and onions on hand so I can scramble up two eggs and make quick breakfast burritos. Yum!

High fiber whole wheat wraps. I can use them for breakfast with egg whites, for lunch with chicken or even for dinner with black beans and brown rice. And only about 75 calories.

I go to Starkist Tuna packs which include the low-fat mayo, relish, and crackers. I keep them at work and home. I love Tuna, I crave it, and I don't enjoy cooking. Delicious and healthy.

I keep Sargento Low-fat cheddar cheese sticks and yogurt for anytime snacks.

Lately peanut butter. Great way to get some fats. But I love no salt added beans and soup, the fresh fruits and veggies. Fresh foods are always good go to foods. They are quick and healthy.

Lawash low-carb tortillas! I eat a few a week at least and you can stuff 'em with anything. They are so delicious and I wish I hadn't shared them with my kids because now they like them better than regular. LOL

Also, baby carrots and Greek yogurt.

Cheese. I adore cheese, and never have less than five different kinds in my fridge at any time. Right now I've got cottage, colby jack, cheddar (sharp and mild), American, swiss, mozzarrella, and a cheese ball. I think that has some port wine in it.

Funny thing? I'm lactose intolerant.

What is one staple/multi-purpose food item you always have in your kitchen?

I use Thomas' multi-grain 100 calorie english muffins for everything! Breakfast sandwich, lunch sandwich, with peanut butter, with fruit..couldn't live without em! And I get a third of my daily fiber? Yes please!
