Today is "eat the last of the veggies in the crisper and all of the partial bags of frozen veggies in the freezer". Grocery shopping tomorrow. So, I made a stirfry with the last hunk of beef, 1/4 bag of frozen peas, 1/4 bag of frozen corn, 1/2 bag of frozen kale, last 3 fresh carrots, last bit of ginger, and the edible parts of an abandoned sweet orange pepper. And brown rice. It was good. Definitely not restaurant quality but very tasty.

I had a bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwich on wheat bread with light mayonnaise, and I ate an apple with peanut butter. I was starving while I was making the bacon, and ate a piece of fruit leather, too. I was happy that I ate at home rather than getting fast food.

As I type, I have two huge chicken breasts in the oven smothered in General Tso sauce (and a bit of teriyaki sauce that I had leftover), mushrooms, and eggplant. Rice and broccoli are on the stove. And the leftover champagne from New Year's Eve is in the fridge. 932 cals (wine included)

Basque vegetable soup. Cabbage, carrots, leeks, onion, tomato sauce, and water. Really good!
