I wound up "cheating" last night....I had a piece of whole wheat bread with half a tablespoon of smart balance buttery spread. I then wandered off to a hot bath and bed. I think that helped hold me over for the night.

Today the idea is to eat a more balanced and larger breakfast, a medium sized lunch and a smaller dinner. If I can hold myself with breakfast from 8:30am till 1:00pm then have a medium lunch at 1:00pm I probably wont have to eat again until closer to bed time. Which would be helpful in my issue of hunger pangs.

When I started my journey to lose 150 pounds I was hungry at first. As my body adjusted I wasn't nearly as hungry anymore. And I learned to make choices that filled me up, like oatmeal, high fiber breads, etc.

You can do it!

Are you new to eating at lower calorie levels?

I know at first I was starving! Now my stomach has shrunk a bit, I feel full with normal portions.

I go from day to day. If I feel hungry I'll eat a light snack. If I still feel hungry I'll eat again. I used to freak out and starve before only to end up overeating later.

If it's a long term problem, I up my calories and change around my ratios of protein and carbs eaten. When I'm hungry, I'm usually not eating enough good things, and eating too much crap. Otherwise, I don't really starve myself. I couldn't last on this streak of losing weight if I did starve.

Depends. Make sure you are getting enough calories for the exercise you are doing, and make sure you are getting enough protien. When I am having a hungry day I try to eat a bit more protien and a few less carbs.
If you are hungry all the time, make sure you are eating a lot of veggies, too. Still, if you are ALWAYS hungry, you might want to increase your calories some.

Hey guys what do you do when you reach your calorie intake limit? Do you even have a limit? Do you drink water? What about tea? Or should I even be hungry? Do I need to increase my calorie intake? Is it okay/good to suffer with a bit of uncomfortable hunger pangs?
