I drink 100% juice instead of soda. It satisfies my desire for a sugar hit but is healthy. One could also add seltzer water or carbonated water to spike it up. This works for me and I do not find it is a problem calorie- wise. I add it in. After giving up soda, which contains WAY more sugar, my need for the sweet hit drops significantly in about a week, and then I drink more and more ice water. Really cold water is very refreshing, I think. Also, good quality peach tea makes wonderful cold ice tea, and so does peppermint tea. I recommend Celestial Seasoning brand. sarah
