I just wanted to stop by and say "hi" and connect with some others on Fast Break.
I first started Fast Break in January and at this point have lost 30 pounds. Woohoo! The program really does work, and it hasn't been difficult.
Recently, though, I find that I'm not coming to SparkPeople as often, nor have I been using the tools that I found so helpful when I was first starting out - Nutrition and Fitness Tracking and SparkPoints, primarily. There have been many days that I didn't even use my SparkCoach. And the more time goes by, the more days I seem to skip. My eating habits are good, but the rest is beginning to slide, and I know from experience that it can be a slippery slope!
Even though things are still going well and I continue to lose weight, I know I could do better if I went back to basics. So I re-set my SparkCoach to Fast Break. I'm posting here to state, in print, that I'm re-committing to following the Fast Break program, especially TRACKING of all kinds:
- using the Nutrition Tracker to write down EVERYTHING
- using the Fitness Tracker and walking at least 10 minutes at lunch and another 10 minutes in the evening
- tracking my Fast Break goals, which are (1) read a success story every day, (2) eat at least 2 fruits/veggies, and (3) take a walk every day.
The other thing is, I never got into the habit of using the SparkPeople community, even though it says all over the site that people are more successful when they connect with others. So this time, I'm going to use the message boards and my blog to get something down in print about my journey, at least once a day.
