I have to weigh myself daily to check for congestive heart failure - one of the tells is gaining 2-7 lbs overnight. Also, the diet I'm currently on suggests daily weigh ins so that if you gain 2 lbs. you can deal with it while it's still manageable rather than finding out a week or a month later that you are up 10 lbs. and you have a job ahead of you to lose it.

As long as I am on a healthy track I weigh myself only when I know the scale has something nice to say...like when an item of clothing fits me that didn't before.
