This is my second day using the SparkCoach. My job is coaching, but I struggle to coach myself, so I'm hoping this will be the push I need to finally get off these extra pounds!

My first day using Spark Coach. I know how important accountability is on the weight loss journey. I need guidance on settin goals and an organized place to track. I've lost 20 lbs. over the past 3 1/2 months and need to keep going. (still quite always to go!). I am going to give Spark Coach a sincere effort.

I am using the free trial.....so far I really like it. It puts the responsibility on me..."do this and you will be successful." I was at a plateau and couldnt figure it out. Looks like I was being to generous with my food portion sizes......think I'll get a food scale. I really enjoy reading the success stories for those of us over 50 (over 60).....

I just began using Spark Coach yesterday and I am already finding it very helpful. Today I listened to the video on setting easy goals for myself in order to train me how to set and reach goals. Even though I am in bed with a virus today and not really focused on food and weight loss, I still feel as if I've made some progress just by logging on and listening. This is a great program!

I started using sparkcoach t yesterday, and I'm hopeful that it's going to be what I need. , its keeping me accountable to something which is what i need. t/his is perfect for me right now because i have a few steps to follow and can keep track of everything It like I am starting spark over but correctly this time. I feel like purchasing the 3 month now but holding myself back to see if the motivation keep up. The price seem very fair to me and doable.

I started the trial yesterday and so far so good. I am trying to stick to the babysteps rather than rush ahead of myself. That is hard for me but I have been doing that rather than griping about how i shoulda or coulda done things.
Good luck to us all! We can do it!

I just joined SparkCoach yesterday to see if it will help me to lose more weight. I still have a long way to go. It's been a LONG process for me, but I want to reach my goal weight no matter how long the process takes for me to get there. I just have to be more consistent and not give up.

Started using Spark Coach yesterday...can't say it's 100% responsible (cause I've also started the Mind Over Body Challenge) but I DID stay within my calorie range. . .at the low end. . .for the first time ever (other than when ill).

I've used sparkpeople on and off for quite a while. Generally I used it to track food and exercise. I've never actually followed each step. I have lost and re-gained several times and I thought THIS time I'm going to follow each stage. I'm looking forward to the additional guidance from sparkcoach.

I am also doing the 2-week trial. This is happening at a good time for me, since I was away from home most of the summer and did not keep up my exercise and healthy eating habits as much as I should have. This is a good chance for me to set some fast-break goals and get reSparked!

I just started it yesterday as well. So far I'm liking it. I'm in the same boat as you L-JO888. I've been a member of Spark since 2007, but it's been off and on, and fairly inconsistent. I am hoping that Spark Coach will motivate me more and make me more accountable.

I'm enjoying the Spark Coach idea, too. It's like I'm starting over. I'm on a plateau, and I'm having to change my diet from a typical one to a vegan diet--per doctor's suggestions. This is a challenge for me, as I looooove cheese! The milk thing is getting easier--rice milk is yummy. But, my hardest part is protein, which is hard without meat. But, I'm working on it. I've lost 2 pounds of the 15 I must shed, but I'm stuck, now. I hope that Spark Coach can help me past this plateau and to my goal weight.

I'm trying the two weeks and see what I think. The price is REALLY reasonable if it is a service I enjoy. I have been on SP off and on for years and years, and I LOVE it, but maybe the coach thing will give me that extra boost of motivation. I am a total list and goals person, so the idea appeals to me.

Luvnlife3- I was thinking the same thing! About setting Fast Break goals for my Grade 6 kids. Even if it is as small as "Bring what you need into the classroom!" lol

I'm trying the two week trial right now too. I feel like spark coach might be enough extra motivation to keep me going because just doing spark people tends to not be enough and I have periods where I don't log on for months at a time. It is also a lot cheaper than I thought it would be so after the free trial I'm pretty sure I'll do the three month subscription.

I'm in on the 2 week trial and on Day 2 I can see how helpful this would be especially for people just starting in this. However, at this point, it seems pretty close to what the free site offers. There is already a checklist by trying to get your Daily Spark Points. Granted, that list is longer and maybe intimidates others from going through it on a daily basis... so the Spark Coach offers a very simple straight-forward list of only what 6 steps? The last step being congratulating yourself for doing the first 5? Something like that.

Anyhow, not sure yet if it's something to pay for if you are someone who does the Spark Points checklist already provided... but I want to see what the next 10 days brings. There is of course the benefit of direct email to coaches and discounts on their merchandise.

I'm doing the 2wk trial, but am positive I will sign up permanently. I just re-joined SP this month and want to focus on the tasks and goals set much better than I did before. I am pretty much a loner outside of work & church and NEED the motivation and "gentle" push to keep me going. I didn't have much accountability before. So I've restarted from scratch and so far am loving SparkCoach!

I decided to try it for the first two weeks. I would really like the opportunity to email a coach and see the response first before investing in a 3 month program, but I like the other features that help you stay on track by providing a step by step forum to make the most of the site. Will wait another few days before deciding.

If it is to be, it is up to me.

I decided to try Spark Coach for something different to do, but so far the content and program seems pretty much to be the same thing as regular Sparkpeople. However, the approach is fresh and different. I don't think I'd pay for the service though.

I just purchased the montly plan, becaue i know the daily checklist will help. I also know that SP works for me, so i am sure that the coaches will be that added incentive. It will be the push i need to make sure i am on this site everyday and doing what i need to so that i can meet my goals.

I started using it yesterday and I like the checklists too. It feels like I'm accomplishing something even if the weight's not falling of as fast as I'd like.

Today's video about fast break and setting goals really got me to thinking about my students. I teach resource in an elementary school. Most of my students do not set goals or if they have, they haven't been able to meet them. I'm going to try a fast break goal setting with them when they start school so they can feel some success and meet some goals. Maybe it'll just be read 2 minutes a night for 2 nights. I'm pumped that this will really help them feel success this year.

I signed up for the 3 months for 14.99. If you click on the link that says email a coach, it will direct you to the page that says you must pay for that feature. I thought it would be worth trying for 3 months. So far I really like it.

It costs $7.99 per month or $14.99 for 3 months.

I'm trying it and I like it so far, but I'm not sure I'm going to be willing to pay for it. We'll have to see how the next two weeks go.

I started using it yesterday, and I'm hopeful that it's going to be what I need to get an extra 10#'s off since hitting goal. I maintained my weight loss for almost a year, and then the weight started creeping back on. I'm enjoying the extra feature that Spark is offering.

I just started using it and I LOVE IT so far. I'm the type of person who thrives from checklists and tasks, plus (even though it's only virtual coaching, unless you use the "email a coach" feature, it still feels like just enough outside motivation to keep me going.
