I'm a lot like you; I don't really get up early enough to eat, and I'm not crazy about trying. So what I do is have a chocolate protein shake. I mix it with 2% milk. It's not a breakfast replacement; I just know that I'm not going to eat, and frankly, I need the energy. I work out very intensely, from 1-2 hours, and if I go longer than an hour, I NEED it! So it's either get up an hour earlier (not gonna happen. I've tried for years), skip breakfast, or grab a shake.
So shake it is. :) I've gotten to where I drink them every morning... I prefer them to coffee to get started in the morning.
And so far, it's really helped. Maybe that's an option for you; I usually eat breakfast afterwards, even if it's something like an egg or a banana, so it's not a meal replacement or anything for me. Just an early start.
