No, but I am beginning to waver today as I have moved the couch, cleaned the blinds, taken down and washed the curtains, cleaned the baseboards, etc., and still going strong with my Independence Day cleaning - freeing the house of dust bunnies and clutter.
I still think I won't count it, though. It is activity, and I have peppy music. I'm actually enjoying doing it, also.
my house is such a mess i pay other people to clean it. if i did it myself i think it would be such intense exercise i just might count it, lol.

I count house cleaning as an exercise because it takes a lot of effort for me to do my house work. I have difficulty staying on my feet for longer than a few minutes due to a bad back, etc. (Recovering from back surgery still) So, just the movement of walking, standing, etc. are calorie burners for me. I am able to shop with a cart for 1 hour now...that is a big improvement for me, so I count grocery shopping as an exercise in walking, too. That's an improvement over using the motorized cart like I did prior to surgery and right after. Thank you, God that I am improving slowly.

Sometimes. When I have been doing laundry all day and lugging baskets of clothes up and down the basement steps, along w/ cleaning up after 3 kids constantly through out the day, I do, but only count it for 15-20 mins at the most.
With my feet on the ground and my heart attuned, I will reach for the stars (Camp Motto from Camp Crestridge for Girls in NC).

added to Favorites.. Housework sure beats sitting on your can. Add a few squats and stretches while sweeping. Do a few curls with that full laundry basket. Add a few stairstep inclined pushups before you walk up a flight to kick the teens out of bed.
