I sure as heck do...I sweat tons as I clean and do laundry! It is movement so I tally that as well!

Only when I do really heavy cleaning to the point that I'm sweating.
It depends on the housework, but to me, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, etc. definitely count as exercise.

I count housework for two reasons, im starting this program after 5 years of being almost sedentary due to disabilities and any little bit counts for me right now. I also count it because I am burning calories and I like to see the numbers it makes me feel more motivated to keep on going!!!

Sometimes depending on what I'm doing--scrubbing floors, vacuuming rugs, hanging clothes. When I iron clothes or wash dishes I use that time to meditate or gather my thoughts.

I do. Mainly because I do so much of it!! I am constantly cleaning bedrooms and vacuuming. If I do more than 30mins of cleaning then I consider it as "exercise"...if its any less, then its just regular cleaning.

I usually do count it but I will underestimate the time that I have done it for because I don't see it as cardio exercise. But that doesn't mean that I don't believe you can't break a sweat! Cleaning the shower is a killer, and i always break a massive sweat doing that!

Oh absolutely. I live in a two story home with a basement and the laundry washer and dryer are in the basement so I can break a sweat hauling loads up and down the stairs. Vacuuming and mopping and sweeping are great workouts for your arms. Plus, seeing the calories you can burn, no matter the tiny number, can be a big boost.

This is a great question. I know for me, its effort to just wash the dishes, but I am working up to doing housework regularly. I am doing Twinges Plus at the Y - it is one level up from joint class. I don;t know how to count that - but I am counting it as water aerobics. I do 70 minutes a day. So I don't feel it is necessary to count the housework, which I do in 10 minute segments.
