JJ- See an allergist who tests for food allergies. They can test you in a more scientific, controlled environment to see what is truly triggering your "stomach problems." Using yourself as a guinea pig is not the answer. Besides finding the cause for your problems, there is a good chance that the doctor can provide a cure for your problem. This sounds like a fairly new ailment since you refer to not being able to give up chocolate. Perhaps it is a combination of a new medication and chocolate or something overlooked. That's why you need a professional to look into this if you are determined to keep your chocolate. I know I would!!!

Try roasted carob. No caffeine and a great substitute for chocolate.

I think i'm allergic to chocolate. everytime i have it i get.. "stomach problems". Always have to stay near bathrooms. caffeine does this to me too so i don't know if it's the caffeine in the chocolate or the chocolate. I'm also lactose intolerant so i bought dark chocolate (no milk in it) because i thought it might be from the milk, but still the same problem!
Should i try to find caffeine free chocolate?
Or white chocolate?
Is there caffeine in white chocolate?
Why does this happen to me?
I don't want to give up chocolate! Any alternatives?
Thanks!
