Great ideas! I keep flaxseed oil in the fridge to add sometimes if I'm not adding a nut butter. Keeps me full longer to add a tablespoon to the mix.
As for other recipes (the thread suggested) I really enjoy dark chocolate almond muffins for breakfast. High protein and fiber. Made with ground almonds, dark chocolate, eggs and coconut oil. There is a recipe on spark people. Great for revving the metabolism in the morning.

a handful of spinach added to any of these recipes will give smoothie a nice fresh flavour and more nutrients.

Slim is where I wanted to be in 201o & 2011! Never happened, plateaued for a long time and gave up... got off track, but never left, so am back on track again!!! Make 2012 my year! So far, did finally lose 25 lbs. over the summer, but have found about 11 of it so far, it didn't hide good enough... and lost it again in 2013... going down to 175 this fall, and staying there...this time!
Green Juice Cocktail ( Cancer's Kryptonite) 1/2 cup of fresh parsley 3 cups of spinach 1/2 lemon peeled 2 medium sized pears, cut into eighths 6 large stalks of celery According to Ohio State Univeristy new reseasrch says the celery and parsley in this juice delivesr apigenin, a compound that promotes the death of cancerous cells.
My daughter makes this for her breakfast every morning and takes it with her to work. She says it gives her so much energy and keeps her full until lunch. I hope this helps, you could also check Angela's website for more ideas.

On January 26, 2009, I gave my two weeks notice at my job. It was a very, very bad week for me and I was at an all-time low in my life. I drank those green monsters every single morning despite everything going on. I imagined that I was Popeye with superhuman strength. And boy did I need it. This is a recipe that I keep coming back to again and again and it never fails me. Enjoy it for a breakfast or snack! (from Angela)
Ingredients (1 serving/2 cups) •1 cup almond milk, or milk of choice •1 ripe banana, preferably peeled + frozen •2 handfuls organic spinach •1 tbsp chia seeds OR 1 tbsp ground flax •1 tbsp nut butter (here I used Dark Chocolate Almond Butter) •1-3 Ice cubes
Instructions •Starting with the liquid, add in 1 cup of milk of your choice. Now add in the chia or flax and nut butter. Next, add in the spinach followed by the banana on top. Blend until smooth. Add in your ice cubes and blend some more. Serves 1- about 2 cups.

Cocoa Almond Milk Latte 2 cups of cold water 1/2 cup of ground French Roast or expresso roast coffee 2 cups of Almond Milk 2 envelopes of instant hot cocoa mix 1/2 tsp of almond extract ice cubes
Use a drip coffee maker, add the water and coffee and brew. Stir in almond milk and add almond extract...stir well.... refrigerate mixtue at least 1 hour or until completely chilled. Pour mixture over ice....makes 8 servings....46 calories....7 carbs and 1 protein only 1 gram of sat. fat.
I don't measure this, I mostly eyeball it, but I have this almost every morning, I just vary the berries so it is different every time..
1 cup rice milk ( or alternative of your choice, almond, rice, or soy) 1 to 2 bananas 1/2 to 1 cup berries fresh or frozen your choice 1/2 to 1 cup coconut yogurt what ever flavor you like 1 tsp of wheat germ or flax seed some times I will throw in a handful of walnuts, cashews, or some other nut for the protein
I use a Ninja blender, so I throw it all into the blender, and mix till smooth and the thickness you like. Makes enough for two people to have 1 tall glass each with a bit left over, You might need a bit more rice milk because the coconut yogurt makes it quite thick.. Enjoy..
Protein is an important part of my diet so you do not have to add it but it is yummy & it does not hurt anything It's really pretty simple I eyeball amounts so you really can't mess this up it is what you like. I like mine a bit colder so I use frozen Strawberries but you can use fresh they work great too. I have a Ninja blending system I use just a small personal size cup for the amount I mix..you can do as much or as little as you want or what you need for your blending device. You need: Strawberries Fresh or Frozen 1 Banana Florida Natural Orange Juice No Pulp OR whatever kind you like 1 small can crushed pineapple NECTAR brand Protein powder found at Vitamin World Strawberry Kiwi flavor
I put 3/4 my container Strawberries. Then I put 1 kitchen Teaspoon of Protein powder sprinkled on berries...you may use as much powder as you like. I then put aprox. 1 Tablespoon pineapple and put aprox. 1 Tablespoon of the juice in. I put the Orange juice in next I fill my container up 1/4 of the way and then break my banana up on the top & blend. If you use fresh berries you may want to chill it a bit it is up to you & your taste enjoy
