I agree. The scale shouldn't really matter. What matters is that you are happy with your appearance and comfortable in your own skin. As a mother myself, I understand the difficulty. I am a mother of an overly energetic two year old, working full time and going to school full time at night.
As long as you are healthy, try shooting for a different weight, maybe discuss it with your doctor. Take ten minutes before bed and close yourself in your room after the kids are all in bed and just take those ten minutes to yourself. A ten minute shower can count as "me time" as well. Anything you do to help yourself, including using the older ones to help with chores and cooking, are excellent ideas!
