This is day 3 since I have taken her laptop away from her. I told her in order to get her laptop back she would have to get and keep her room clean. I see no effort in doing so. The way I see it is that she doesn't care how she lives. I hope to see things change with what she does around the house but not going to force her. Maybe I should no matter what her dad says. She needs to learn and she is 14 years old. By now she should be doing things like that on her own. She fought with me this morning about getting a ride to school. The walk would do her some good. I didn't want to upset her anymore this morning so I had kept my mouth shut about that. She is complaining about her weight constantly but she doesn't want to work it off. Walking is the best way for her and she finds anyway she can to avoid it like doing chores around the house. It really upsets me. So from here on out I have decided to tell her that if she is going to complain about her weight she needs to do something about it. Walking to and from school and doing things around the house. If she decides not to take any steps then I am going to let her learn from her own mistakes. I wouldn't want her to live like a slob or be overweight but I can't force her to do anything. When her dad decides that I am being too hard on her she takes advantage of that. So I am going to just tell her that I don't want to hear how she is overweight unless she is doing something about it. I am asking for help on this. Please help if you can.
Have a wonderful Day! :)

My girls are 5 and almost 2. I look forward to the youngest getting a little older so we can do more things together. Right now our time is mostly spend trying to keep the baby from killing herself while she tries to do everything the 5 year old can do.
My oldest daughter will be 25 in Sept! My other kids are 23, 21, 19 and 16. And yes, the time flies by. I'd have to say though that as much as I have loved watching them grow-up, and I have been and still am a stay-at-home Mom, now is the best time. It's so much fun being able to do adult things with them and relate to them more as friends than as parental units!
