Parenting is tough, school is tough, work is tough, and adding to it a special needs child is extra tough. But it looks like you are doing it. Good on ya. Many don't have half the stressors that you are working with, but that doesn't mean they have it easier. It's not how much stress one has that counts, it's how they manage it. Hopefully once you finish your degree you will at least get rid of that one. But it has been my experience that once I get rid of one, I add two. LOL

So dig deep and find your happy place to get you through. Mine is my faith in God. He has helped me through so many stressful times in my life it isn't funny. I pray that you and family do well. Keep the faith.

I question, therefore I think; I think, therefore I am; ........ I think?

Life is tough, but it is tougher if you are stupid. ;-) John Wayne

We can always find reasons to quit or not do what is needed to maintain a healthy and fit lifestyle. The trick is to fight this tendency. NOW SHUT UP AND SWEAT.

TODAY: It's as good as any day, and better than tomorrow.

Hi there! Boy, it sure does sound like you have a full life! Yes, stressful, but I'm hearing quite a bit of really great things mixed in there- you've lost weight, you've almost completed your degree, and you've got 2 kids you care a lot about. Congratulations on all of those wonderful things in your life!
I think we all from time to time get bogged down in the 'trying to do everything for everyone' syndrome and it is tough. I have found that when I do make some time for myself, I can approach the other aspects of my life in a much calmer manner. There is usually some degree of guilt involved at the time, but it is better in the long run. (Plus, sometimes the things I think 'NEED' to be done aren't really needs but 'WANTS'--psst..don't tell my husband that he might be right about that!) We're all here to do the best we can each day.
Maybe once you are done with your degree and that is off your plate, you can take a closer look at your routine and see where things can be changed- maybe you can use an online calendar to put everyone's appointments into or you can spend some time on a Sunday to plan out your week ahead and who will do what (i.e. meals, dr. appts, etc.)? Also, did you know that SP has a mobile app so you can enter your info. from your phone if you have that capability?
Hang in there and good luck!

This is sort of how I feel today. Little background - my 10 yo son has asperger's and is a handful....add into that, my 4 yo daughter, a full-time job, and I'm 4 weeks shy of finishing my B.S. degree online! It's been wild and its only 3 weeks into the year! I have lost weight so that's something anyway. I always feel like I'm not doing enough, whether its for my kids, or my husband, or work or school....i always feel like something else needs to be done.

It's not for lack of trying, obviously....everyone has stress. I just have trouble keeping up! You guys wouldn't believe how many calendars I have hanging around my house. Sometimes I have 3 appointments for my kid in a week! Sometimes I just need to vent...hope y'all don't mind! I managed to only buy healthy snacks so when I'm feeling down I don't reach for the choc. ice cream but rather fresh fruit. So doing better...just stressed out today. I have a really hard time remembering to log my nutrition/exercise into my trackers.

Thanks for letting me vent! emoticon
