I'm also a single mom that works full time! I just signed up for 2 half marathons and I am really looking forward to it! Where can I find this half marathon group?

Have you joined the half marathon spark team? It's a very active group, and you'll probably get more feedback there and fast!

If I had treadmill at home, I could. Problem is that my gym's child care doesn't open until 845am and I have to be at work at 10am. I usually try to do longer runs on Saturdays. They can be in child care at the gym 2 hours and I don't work weekends. This single mom thing is tough though because I can't just leave them home with someone so I can go run. I'm doing the best I can :). Thanks for the tips!!! Maybe I just need to search Craigslist for a cheap treadmill.

Could you do your workout before work?

I'm on a triathlon team, and we do most of our training from 5:30AM to 6:30AM. Are your little ones up then?

Getting in the long runs... that will be a challenge to balance.

I'm a working single mother of 2 young children. I am TRYING to train for my first half marathon, but I am finding that I feel super guilty for all the time I spend in the gym after work. How can I balance a FT work schedule, taking care of the kids, and training without sacrificing so much time with them? Any tips? Thanks :)
