My daughter is 3, so when she is in preschool-she is happy to tell me everything about her day! She is a motor mouth! LOL I am sure it will change when she gets older, but now it is nice.

Today was a busy one for me and, when I left this morning, my son was still sleeping -- BUT, as soon as I got back home -- we had a super "how was your day" talk. Love it!

That sounds wonderful and a great way to keep that communication open and fun at the same time! Super!

My 17-year old told me a bit about his day -- but you usually have to drag it out of him -- he usually has a friend at our home, so he's busy -- but I corner him every once in awhile!

I home school so I am with my daughter all day almost every day so I always know exactly what is going on and I wouldn't have it any other way.

yes after alot of coaxing. My daughter is 4 and never stops talking but when it comes to telling me about her day she has very few words other than 'she played'

My 3 year old can't wait to tell me how preschool was, my 9 year old is starting to not say as much, but I always ask. Sometimes she won't remember what they did with certain parts, mostly things like math and socials.

I am thankful that if she is having issues at school with girls or her teacher she will still come to me.

My son is only 5 and he can remember things that he did when he was 2 and 3. But pick him up from school and he can't remember what he did that day,Except what he had for snack, and recess. MAYBE gym class. even walking out the door from school, or on the drive home.

The only way is the stuff he brings home. I have been told to get used to it with boys.

For some reason teenagers are like that. lol
Mine were so bad, they wanted to be like orphans and not have parents when they were around other teens.
Then they hit their twenty's and bam they wanted us back in their life.

My grandson tells me all about his day, but he is 8. I'm sure his teen years will change that.
