That's a question for your doctor/surgeon. You should be asking him/her if you any concerns about it. Most often they will tell you what you can or can't eat in the days leading to your surgery.

I will be having back surgery soon as was wondering if I will have any problems with being on the ideal protein diet. I know there were a lot of restrictions to follow the week before surgery so I'm wondering if I will run into a problem when I check in when they discover I'm in phase 1 of this diet
