Thanks for the responses guys. We've played tennis/basketball together a few times without our spouses but I had a few other friends with me as well.

As far as straying, the thought never crossed my mind. I'm in it for the long haul with my wife.

First off I would talk to your wife about it, she is the one you are with. If she is ok with it then you have half of the OK (but remember that you may have to stop at any time if your wife starts to get jealous or something). Then the other half of the OK is talking alone to her husband about it. If either one of these two say no then to keep them as friends I would just tell her that you do not think it is a good idea and leave it at that.

One more question is how strong is your marriage? If you think this other woman can ever make you stray then it might be best to not put yourself in that situation. If you do go ahead and workout with her, for your wife's sake, I would only workout with her when your wife is home and maybe can come out to even just sit with you both if she wants to. Just some ideas... Good Luck

I have a male workout partner these days (not sure how long that will last), so I can only guess. In just about any situation I can put myself in, being with my friend's wife without my friend seems a bit awkward. The only way I could alleviate that would be to ask my friend or my missus to join us. Another option would be to have a chat with the four of you (in a social setting). Just bounce the idea off of everyone and see how they react. If you get anything other than resounding approval, I would kill the idea.

Hi Guys, have a question for you. I'm married and my wife and I have been together for going on 12 years now. We are friends with another couple who have been married for some time now. My wife really isn't in to workout out.

I built a small home gym in my garage and her and her husband were over last weekend and I showed it to them. Yesterday she texted me and she told me she's really interested in working out in my home gym and would love to have me as a workout partner so we could push each other.

Honestly I'd love to have a workout partner, it's been a few years since I had one and feel it would be great, used to workout with my bro 3 or 4 times a week and it made the whole process much more enjoyable.

Do you married guys out there have female workout partners that aren't your spouse? Is your wife ok with it?
