Sessions at the gym are during the workday, since I can break away from work more easily on certain days. That's when I do cross-fit and heavier weight training
I supplement gym time with early morning workouts, at about 5:00 am -- mostly cardio, light-weight circuit training, and flexibility work such as pilates. Fitting in the morning workouts depends on whether my 3-yr-old twins are awake or not. They want to "help" me work out, which leads to non-productive (but fun) time.
If I haven't been able to fit in an early morning workout, I try to squeeze one into the schedule in the evenings, after the tots are in bed.

Always before work and on an empty stomach for Crossfit workouts. I'm doing those at 6am Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri. Wednesdays are light activity after work. Sat and Sun are full up with little league baseball and softball practices and games so I am pretty active then too.

I start my workout at 0400 and go for 1 hour! I do this 6 days a week (mostly cardio). I plan on doing some strength training when I drop down into "ONEDERLAND -- below 200lbs" I'll be able to do weights during my lunch break.
