I've heard conflicting opinions about the legitimacy of the Basic Metabolic Rate calculation. Some say it's a load of BS, and some swear by it.
What do you guys think?
I ask because I'm trying to get my average down to about (-500) of my BMR (1900 calories), but wondering if it's as mathamatical as we're led to believe. Basically I've ended up at a north of 2,000 calorie average the past 2 weeks, and wondering if I should be freaking out or not.
