WILKERSONR, I really don't mean to offend you but I think that's just a stupid excuse, if you want to "provide healthy and safe meat for your family" there are many other ways to do it.
If you like killing animals for no reason, that's Ok, that' your own problem.... but don't say you do it to have a healthy lifestyle.

Interesting how people judge anyone without knowing them, in this case hunters. This site is informational to promote healthy lifestyle and choices. I choose to hunt to provide healthy and safe meat for my family. Not processed, steroid induced, or improperly handle meat. God provided cattle for beef as well as deer for venison, Most wild game is naturally 92%+ lean, I kill it, process it and package it myself. I do it in a clean safe environment.

You assume that hunters are fat and lazy, Why don't you put on several layers of clothes, load a 30 lbs pack and walk a mile or so. Then a couple hours later, drag a 150 lbs+ deer out of the wood as well as your gear. My guess is you could not do the first part let a lone the last.

I'm not sure how far 10000000000 KM is but I can safely say that if needed I can put a round into a target the size of a tennis ball at 200 yards, That requires practice not sitting in front of the tv playing video games. I have never shot an animal at 200 yards, I have shot both bear and deer at less that 25 feet, When was the last time you was within 25 feet of a wild animal that was not in a cage? Additionally myself including 10,000's of other hunter provide processed wild game to food pantry's all over the world. What have you done lately to serve your fellow man? I could go on but no need to your ignorance is a testimony to your personality,

Just another interesting observation IVYXXO and XHUNTERX I noticed that both of you have private profile and @ 2500 spark points, Seems to me that you are not committed to this and that you hide behind you private profile instead of putting it out there for the world to see. Last observation, my guess is that you both was bullied and this is your way at getting back a someone that appears to be tougher than you are. That's okay I understand your need to feel the rush, that is call testosterone, something I am sure you have been short of all your life. (Don't pay any attention to her.) My husband hunts - mostly white tail deer, although he has hunted elk and moose in the past. He took a buck early during bow season this year, but didn't have any luck during gun (including muzzle loader) season. He also did a lot of walking and burned some extra calories. If I may say so... Go Hunters!

Waterfowl hunter here, I hunt deer, quail, and pheasnts from time to time.

XHUNTERX I have hunted pussy's in the past, they are great for sighting in your bow or rifle in my IMHO

Hunting is a great workout. Most days I seem to take my gun for a walk more than anything. I did get a nice muley buck last year and I have the weekend before Thanksgiving planned to hunt deer this year.

Last year during the regular season, I did enough walking that I dropped an extra 8 pounds. Its a great way to rack up some extra exercise. We only have whitetail here in new york.

I hunt deer (whitetail and muley) each year and pheasants. I was going for elk this year, but the weather has been to warm to force them down the mountains yet. I mainly shoot a .30-06, 300 Win Mag and a 12-gauge.

Sorry, the most I've done is firing a pistol at a range. I would like to try hunting some day (although I don't have any plans in the near future).

I enjoy hunting and target shooting. Most of my hunts turn into a going for a hike with a pack and shotgun. I do however really like target practice with my bow. Didn't have time to get out this year with it. This next year will be spent scouting.
