Gotta live a little too! I have found that allowing myself to indulge every once in a while keeps me from falling off the wagon completely. We have a local burger place where I live that specializes in awesom burgers and craft beers. As long as I have been training hard and eating right, I will indulge my whim and have a double burger with a fried egg, and a few porters. My calories for the day will be over my allowance and my cholesterol will spike. However, I will return to form the following day and all is well with the world. Personally if I didn't do that every once in a while I would fall completely the other way.

Maybe try stringing 1, 2 and 3 together. And enjoy 3!

You want to eat reasonably AND enjoy your friends. Have a great time.

If going out to eat is a rarity for you, just get whatever you want. One meal isn't going to derail you.

Option 3 is a good one. ONE meal won't throw you completely off course. However, I have been know to be really good all day to lessen the blow of the not so perfect meal. Barbecue is my down fall

Ya, don't go there with the intention of eating reasonably. It doesn't look like it's going to happen. In this situation I would consider the following options.

1) Eat something before I go. This could mitigate some overconsumption.
2) Eat little all day and "save up". This takes some planning and self control
3) F-it. Pig out. Consider it a treat and move back to your plan tomorrow. 1 meal isn't a make or break scenario (unless it turns into full blown falling off course).
4) Skip it all together.

I am going to Famous Dave's tomorrow with a big group of friends and I have NO clue what to get. I looked at the nutrition facts online and it seems like everything is awful for you :( Any suggestions??
