Personally I'm not a big fan of supplements. I see them as taking a shortcut to achieving my goals of having a healthy lifestyle. For me, it's like taking a test and reading the Cliff's notes instead of reading the whole book. You may pass the test, but you won't understand the story.
It's the same thing with supplements. It may help me achieve my goals in the short term, but what happens when I stop taking the supplements? Plus, many of those things are really expensive. I understand about how difficult it is to get enough protein into your diet if you are working out hard 5-7 days per week and how adding a scoop or two of protein powder to a drink after a workout can be a real benefit.
Personally, I eat a serving of lentils every day with my lunch after my workout. I get 30 grams of protein and 10 grams of dietary fiber per cup. I also eat a lot of fish every week, at least one serving per day.
Whatever you do, make it part of your lifestyle. If it works for you, stay with it.
JUICE to you all.
