Congrats Robert. It takes a lot of persistence and determination to shed 100 pounds. That's hard to give to people. They have to want it.

wow Robert, congrats on the weight loss. I tell you, I think losing weight is probably just as hard as trying to quit smoking, IMO. I hate having to eat less and exercise. I was raised to be a lazy person. My mama and daddy never disciplined me on anything. I was never made to clean the house, wash dishes, etc. I know alot of my laziness comes from that, but now as a grown up, it is my own fault. Anyway, I have found that the best way for me to lose weight is to eat the most filling foods I have ever known, as that is eggs and beans. I incorporate those two foods in my daily meals. I have an organic bean burrito made with 100% whole wheat bread with a little 150 calorie pack of chips of my choice, (that way I'm not depriving myself of the food I love, and ending up on a junk food binge). For dinner, I have two eggs with lean meat and veggies. This has been working for me. My problem is sometimes when we eat out, I go overboard and eat what I want. I have to work on that. Sorry for rambling on, but the filling food idea is what works for me, that and exercising, and drinking water instead of sodas.

I lost about 100 pounds over the last year and it was terribly hard. I had no idea what I was doing or where to start and had to work my butt off. I did a lot wrong, nearly developed an eating disorder and struggle everyday with wanting to eat everything in site. That being said I am still going and i want to help somebody out there avoid the problems i fell into. I wrote a lot of it down in my blog http://wallofboogers.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html and I work off my own plan now. I would love to just talk to some people about this and maybe give/take advice. my name's Robert and I would love to lend a hand.
