When it comes to running and walking, I always tell people to go to a specialty shoe store to get fitted by an expert. HOWEVER, if hiking is more your thing, I was really impressed with REI's shoe department when we went there a couple of weeks ago. They were just as knowledgeable as any running store I have ever been to. I just thought I would pass that info along. :)
