The previous poster has given you some good advice. I would also recommend talking to your doctor about it if that foot is still giving you pain, to get their advice.

Everybody's feet are different. You really need to go to a specialty running store and have your feet fit by an expert.

I've recently gotten back into exercising more regularly. Of course, my "I'm going to exercise 6 times a week" ends up with a reality of twice per week. I actually enjoy it a little while I am there & feel so good afterwards. It's the getting there that trips me up. I've given up on Monday exercise - I need to go to the gym in the mornings before work & for some reason I cannot get myself into "weekday" mode until Tuesday morning. So, I'm trying to be better to myself & not berate myself over it. My goal is to workout Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays.

My cardio of choice is treadmill and recumbent bike. I'm finding myself on the bike a lot lately because an old fracture in my foot has been causing me pain and the bike provides a lower impact cardio option. Has anyone else had a stress or other type of fracture that you've found a particular shoe or device to help you walk? I'd really like to walk a 5K in the future with a long-term goal of running one or at least run-walking one.
