I noticed there are lubricating kits for treadmills, do you use those? I am using my treadmill everyday and am wondering if I should do this.

Thanks for sharing information about your treadmills emoticon emoticon emoticon

I have a LifeFitness (one of their home-use models). I got a refurbished one for around $3000, and have had it for about 8 years now and it is still in great shape. It has taken a beating over the years, since both my husband and I were MUCH larger when we bought it, and both of us used to run on it when were well over 200 pounds. I think it has been worth the investment. I generally prefer to walk/run outdoors if I can, but that is not always possible, so it has been a great alternative option for me and helps me stay on track.

We previously had a cheaper one, but it didn't work out as well -- especially because we were heavier -- we sold it when we moved and got the LifeFitness one instead.

Starting Weight: 260 lbs. (November 2010)
Quasi-Maintenance: 165 lbs. (June 2011)
Goal Weight: 150 lbs. (reached December 8, 2011)

Size 22W to Size 4

Currently maintaining within 5 lbs. (+ or -) of goal. I weigh daily, but also use a tape measure and the fit of my clothes to guage how well I'm doing.

I have a NordicTrack. It works well for me, though I have had a bit of rusting after two and a half years in humid Florida. However, what was most important to me was delivery. Sears was only place that I found that would do more than curbside delivery (that may have changed in the meantime). They carried to second story condo and assembled. Just something to keep in mind if you order one.

For Christmas last year, I bought myself a NordicTrack Elite 9700 Pro. Has 40 workout programs built in, has the iFit capability and a 10" Full color touch display that is wireless enabled. I figured go big or go home, right! haha. It's normally priced at $3500 on their website, but I got it for around $2000. Definitely worth it!

You gotta do what you gotta do!

I have a Livestrong 13.0T. It feels like a commercial treadmill and is less than $1000 on sale.

I'm in the market for a treadmill and was hoping someone could recommend a brand to me.
Thanks emoticon
