Oh my God..so do I. Ive been running for a little while now, a few months and Im running for 25 min straight now. Im using the couch to 5K and am going to be running a 5K for cancer in Philly on Sept 13. I hope Im ready.
If I was any slower...Id be moving backwards....
Im also new to the this whole sparkpeople thing and how no idea what Im doing!

I am not fond of running and when i read your post, I laughed so hard. My husband said when we first met in college, I always ran funny in our physical ed classes. He says I looked like wimpy when I ran. So when he saw our daughter run, he said she is just like you.
I only started working out diligently these last years. I may have been a lot thinner then (because of my youth) but I am more fit now.

Thank you for this! I was just thinking this weekend "I run like an elephant". Or a hippo. I can't decide. But my SIL runs like a gazelle....and then there's me. But you are right...it doesn't matter because we are out there moving it!!

So glad you have come to a point where you are more comfortable in your own skin--this post reminded me of an episode of Friends (which I thought of often when I first took on the challenge of running) when Phoebe invites Rachel to go running with her--Phoebe, of course in her own unique style, runs with arms and legs flailing, and Rachel is embarrassed, until later when Phoebe fills her in on why--she doesn't care if it looks crazy to others--she's enjoying herself.

You are hilarious! But I do get your point. I tried running last summer and I'm about to give it another shot with the C25k plan. I'm not sure what I look like when I run, I just know that it's probably a slightly mess! Keep up the good works.
