I have been considering it lately. I have some mild balance problems, knee problems, and am getting older. I have no trouble walking, but would like something to get my heart pumping a little harder. Running is a bad idea for me because of the fore-mentioned problems. I am thinking that the poles might add more "vigor" to the exercise without increasing my fall risk.
But I haven't seen anyone address the balance/stability issue yet.
