Hi, everyone. I found this on the beachbody website and have been doing it for about 3 weeks and, believe me, it IS extreme. There are no breaks in between sets and you sweat up a storm. I read somewhere that the "hit the floor" move is from Shaun T's Insanity workout, which means if he took that move from the Insanity workout and this isn't Insanity, you can imagine what that must be like because this workout is pretty intense. The warm up take 10 minutes, but you get used to it.
I was doing the 5:2 fast diet, but after a year, I only lost 14 lbs. and even that was a struggle, so I went back to Michael Thurmond's (RIP) 6 Week Body Makeover plan. In 2004, I purchased it and lost 46 lbs. in 6 weeks. Amazing, right? I didn't think clearly about maintenance and slowly started going off plan completely. I know better (I truly hope) now. Anyway, I re-started the program last Sunday, weighing 182.9 or so and as of this morning, I weigh 177.6 lbs. Wonderful!!!
My goal is to get to 130 lbs. I'm 5'6" and 58 years old and graduate from culinary school this coming Saturday and working as a professional cook is hard work, so I need to be in the best shape I can get in.
