I agree with the others that you are being too harsh on yourself. I understand how you feel though. I'm 5'0" and around 135 to 137 lbs (after being at a plateau for over a year). Took a temp job that is very physically demanding and it was the change that my body needed. At my height, the upper limits of the "normal" weight range is 127 to 128 lbs. and I want to get to 127 lbs. Of course, I think I have some lean muscle working for me too, but I still want to reduce my body fat %. Hopefully, I can get that checked out soon too.
I also agree with getting your body fat % checked. Also, as one person mentioned, if your blood panels are doing well then this is definitely a plus for you.

If you're 4' 11" and 127 pounds, you are not obese even on the BMI scale, which is an imperfect tool to start with. In fact, you're at the bottom of the overweight zone. I agree you're being far too harsh on yourself.

You talk about being at a healthy weight range. Maybe you are already. Here is where I am going to say something that may shock some people. Your healthy weight is nothing more than the weight that you achieve to make your blood panels normal. At 165 and 5 foot 5 male, I am considered overweight by BMI standard. When I weighed over 200 I had high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and high triglycerides. At 170 all those issues went away. It took my another year to get to 165 and I stopped trying to loose weight. I have found that it only takes me about one month of eating too much sugar to loose all those benefits that took me a couple of years to achieve. For me it all goes back to diet. Eat well with about 3 hours of quality exercise is what I do. If your blood work ups are good there is no reason to try to loose any more weight. From what I can see you are actually achieving a high level of success. No reason to be discouraged.

This article - although it is named Starvation mode- talks about why the body stops losing weight and why we plateau and what we should do..... in a nutshell, we need to feed ourselves just a little bit more, which I think is why you saw the loss after eating just a bit more.
You're definitely being far too harsh on yourself. At your current height and weight, your BMI is 25.6. That puts you at slightly overweight for your height. BUT, if you are very active, you probably do carry more lean muscle than you're giving yourself credit for.
BMI is only one way to measure a person's health and it's not the best. it's just a rough estimate. Someone who is very active could have a BMI 25-27 and still be considered healthy. Body builders are considered morbidly obese by BMI standards. I'd hardly call a male body builder with 5-7% body fat, overweight. they aren't and you probably aren't either.
We are our own worst critics. Flaws we see in ourselves no one else sees. so, instead of beating yourself up because you're not at a particular weight, let's take a look at some of the things you can do. Can you run or walk a mile faster than you could X months ago ? Have your fitness improved ? has your strength increased ? Can you walk upstairs without getting winded ? Can you carry more bags of groceries without getting tired ? Are you sleeping better ? do you have more energy ? Do you get fewer colds/flus ?
All of these things are signs of a healthier life style. Why aren't you losing weight ? As Coach Jen noted, it's because you don't have much weight to lose. The closer a person is to a healthy weight for their height, the harder and longer it takes to lose those last 5-10 pounds.
Ask any member down to those last few pounds and they will tell you it's slow going. So, don't beat yourself up because you're not losing 1-2 pounds per week. Someone who is morbidly obese could safely lose that amount. But someone closer to a healthy weight, like you, will find it really does take longer to lose. You might lose 1 pound per month if you are mindful of what you eat.
Have you been watching what you eat ? because when it comes to gaining or losing weight, good nutrition is what takes the weight off and keeps it off. Exercise is what keeps our bodies fit. In short, you can't outrun a bad diet with exercise. if you want to lose weight, you really do have to eat right and watch your portions.
i'm 4'11'' and I weigh 127...this weight range is supposed to be obese for my height. At the point of life that i am in right now I am 41 yrs old and just want to be at a healty weight range/ healthy bmi not an obese bmi. so I think the healthy bmi is suppose to be at least 122 pounds or 123 pounds.That wieght would be fine with me I'm not pressing to go to a lower range, i just want to be at the healthy range. Zorbs you are absolutely right It would do no good to give up coming this far but i feel like what I have done all that I try to do even acquiring all these fitness gadgets is not really working and It makes me feel helpless.
Based on your ticker it looks like you only have a few pounds to lose. If that's the case, I'd recommend having your body fat tested. That's a better indicator of progress vs. the number on the scale. If you're already in the healthy range, that could be why you're having trouble losing more.

I'm so very discouraged with all my weightloss efforts this time around. I try to adhere to the sparkpeople nutrition tracker and stay with in my food intake range and i work out 5-6 days a week with a variety of a combination of cardio and strength from 40 min to an hour a day. I have a fitbit to watch my daily averages on my steps and don't count this toward my tracker. I have a garmin hrm with chest strap that calculates my workouts. I don't even eat too much more for my workouts. I seem to stay within my current weight fluctuating a little up and then a little down with in the same weight. Whats frustrating is that i am not losing any weight. Then last week out of nowhere i lose 2 pounds the day after i eat 1850 approx cals my range in 1200-1550. I'm just so frustrated i have all the right things to measure everything and it seems to be for nothing. What am i doing wrong? If i eat more calories at a higher range i just gain alot of weight and now staying at the lower range i just stay the same just makes me feel like i have to eat even less.
