I'd just caution against trying to use the machines *quickly.* It's still strength training so you should be doing reps on a three count (exert-2-3, release-2-3) and use heavy enough weights so that you can only do 8-12 reps per set. Trying to rush through the exercises will only invite injury. Also, in the equation for weight loss, it's 80% nutrition, 15% strength training, and 5% cardio.

I basically do cardio on the bike or treadmill at my local Planet Fitness, but was wondering if their circuit would be a good alternative. I couldn't find a good link, but basically they have an area set up with several machines and a timer that alerts you to change machines and you work your way in order through all the machines over 30 minutes along with some stepping sessions periodically. Would this be a good alternative for cardio? I know machines aren't great to use for strength training, but for cardio? Any thoughts? Thanks!
