i have a bad habit of starting and not finishing the series, but i do love the firm videos as well. After one 20 min dvd i'm always surprised just how much i get a full work out.

I recently rediscovered some old Firm workouts that utilize the Firm Box. I was fortunate enough to find the dvds on ebay and the Firm Box at a thrift store for $4. The tall box climb and the signature leg press are killer, but whip your legs into shape in no time. Love The Firm!!

I still love Susan Powter. She has different levels to accommodate all exercise levels. I will sometimes do more or less for certain exercises depending on how I'm feeling at that time. She's no nonsense, get it done, and explains why an exercise is being done in a certain way. I just find her comforting and encouraging...which is pretty remarkable from a video.

I love dancing so all of my dance aerobic DBD's are at the top of my list. I feel so accomplished when I finish my Crunch Workout ones, they can beat you up! My favorite strength training is actually Biggest Loser Power Sculpt. I can't do the whole workout yet but I feel like a beast when I'm done :-)

I absolutely adore Ellen Barrett. She is encouraging and upbeat without being annoying and has great cueing. Her barefoot workouts, such as Fusion Flow and Barefoot Cardio, are some of my favorites, but I also love her Crunch workouts. You always feel strengthened, stretched out and as if you got a pretty good workout in. It's kind of a mood booster.

For my challenging workouts, nothing beats Michelle Dozois! I fell in love with her workouts the very first time that I worked out to Peak 10 More Cardio Interval Burn. I also love her new series: BodyFit 360. She is so much fun and really gets you motivated. She is definitely one of my fitness heroes!

I also came across Piloxing, which has been a surprise hit for me. I wasn't sure what to expect, but the dvd was surprising fun and I am always sore the next day! I kind of want to get the Piloxing system, but I just can't seem to get myself to commit to more than a $20 investment. =P

There is only one of you in the world, so take care of yourself in all matters.

What a great topic! I'm obsessed with workout DVDs (own about 50 or so), so this is like trying to pick my favorite child

It really depends on my mood, but i always smile when i do The Ultimate Taebo! Especially the freestyle dance moves towards the end - fun! The problem is i have to have at least 60 minutes to do it. If i have less time my latest obsession is the 10 Minute Solution, Fitness Ball Workout - you can do any combo depending on time and what you feel like doing that day.

My all time favorite dvd... hmm, I love my weight watchers dvds and In Shape with Rachel McLish vhs tape, where I learned how to weight train before I ever heard of the SparkPeople website.
These days tho, I am all about Zumba too! I have the dvd's and two zumba video games, which are great. emoticon
I have like a ton of old vhs workout tapes. Some by Corey Everson and a bunch of the Firm videos. All in storage. Which reminds me, I need to go thru. Thanks, good luck to you too.!!

Jari Love's Get Ripped series is my all-time favorite. I have all the Firm videos and worked out to them for years, but I really enjoy the heavier weights with less jumping around hither and yon.
Cathe Frederich weight workouts, too.

Hi everyone. I like 10 Minute Trainer. It's ten minutes, and I can choose the full body, with the warm up and cool down. This makes the whole exercise last at least 15 minutes. Even more when you have to rewind to get in the proper reps.

Very well said. I, too, have some medical concerns and am limited to what exercises I can do.
I am very grateful for the DVDs that are modified and doable for people like me. I also am grateful that Spark people have modified videos available as well.

Don't discount some of them from the turn of this century either. The 80's were not the be-all and end-all of professional, exercise studio-quality classes ...

This had been the Late Golden Age of dvds. By that time, the ante had been way upped, and this was just before burgeoning online offerings (SO variable in quality and lacking in modifications for level-appropriateness until quite recently [there was an increasing backlash by students from cyberspace--were they teaching to their mutual admiration society, or to the general public at large, LOL?])

For the longest time I'd done Jonathan Urla's Yogilates 3 Vinyasa Core as a favored go-to DVD ... this had been before my full-blown development of medical concerns whose symptoms necessitated a scary need for my having to do cardio all the time ...

Several! The Firm with the original fanny lifter, the sculpting stick and the 3 in 1 step box. Stephanie Huckabee has very good 20 minute workouts. I can always default to leslie sansone. I am thinking of trying the 10 minute trainer tapes.

I love Leslie Sansone's HIIT videos (high intensity interval training). I use her 'Walk To The HIITS', '4 Fast Miles Walk Slim', and 'The Big Burn'. I also love her 'Walk It Off in 30 Days - Firm 30' for weight training.

I have tried other trainers' workout videos and live classes, but Leslie is the best fit for me. I'm so glad I found her! I have to give her lots of credit for my 30 pound loss so far.

Any Leslie Sansone walking workout. I find them online and can be done in the comfort of my own home when I can't get out to the gym or to walk outside, and they cover a whole lot more than just walking ;) awesome. It helps me to successfully get my workout in!!

Oh, thank you for mentioning Denise.

I had fallen out of favor with her for decades, based on one of her old TV shows broadcast live at the time ... then - a major find (at discount) in the likes of Body Burn with Dance and Pilates by Denise Austin

.... finally reintroduced me to what had drawn me to her calisthenics workouts in the first place ...

and reconfirmed, though, that I indeed am drifting, by and by, out of yoga ... after years of extreme immersion in it ...
