J,

The majority of your weight loss progress will come from diet, not exercise. Are you tracking all of your food carefully and staying in your recommended calorie and nutrient ranges?

As far as exercise goes, you'll want to work with your doctor to decide on a good plan based on your medical history. In general, most people can get a good workout in 30 (or so) minutes of cardio, 3-5 times per week. You don't really need two sessions a day. If your doctor gives you the okay, I'd also recommend adding a full-body strength workout to your routine twice a week.

Hope that helps,

Coach Jen

I had a couple stokes about 4 years ago. I don't think I got the best care and I still struggle with walking, talking, breathing and thinking. I recently joined SP and wondered what the experienced tell me.

I have been walking about 30 minutes a day, 3-4 times a week. I am not satisfied with how my weight has gone. Gained about 30-40 pounds over 6-8 months. I have started to use SP and have lost some.

Today I started walking twice a day: about 20-25 minutes in the morning (about 10 AM) and about 30-35 minutes in the afternoon (about 3 PM). I am spent after 30 minutes.

My question is this: Is exercising twice a day a good way to go? Is it better than once a day even though I am done after 30 minutes?
