I'd recommend asking your doctor for exercise suggestions based on your individual needs. Here's an article about back pain that you might also find helpful:

Every once in awhile my arthritis in my back gets me and makes it hard to bend or even move fast. What are some good exercises that I can do to work around my back pain?
