My shoulder is the same way and it has been ever since I hurt it snowboarding 3 years ago. Just a noisy part of working out!

Same here. My doctor told me that it was a normal part of aging. Just in case, check with yours, but if there's no pain or discomfort, just noise, it's probably not something to worry about.

I've been told by my doctor that as long as you aren't feeling pain when the joint pops, it's OK. But if you are concerned about it, you might want to ask your doctor.

I am doing some limited work with a personal trainer and today I noticed a lot of popping with my joints. I did the leg press machine where you lay back and then push your feet upwards in kind of like a seated squat, and my bad knee audibly popped on each rep. Then I did standing squats with a pull down of my arms afterwards and my left shoulder popped on each rep. I am worried these noises mean I am doing damage, especially with my knee which I have had trouble with in the past. Any thoughts?
