YUCK! So glad you got in to see the doctor. I had a pinched nerve in my neck last year, and it was the second most painful thing I've ever experienced, and even more frustrating because there's really NOTHING you can do but let it heal! Just goes to show, doctors really are important... when we try to self-diagnose, we usually end up wrong. ;)

I ended up going Monday morning, and cancelled the baby's dermatologist appt that is a 2 hour drive, she is doing fine, so I rescheduled, me on the other hand, couldn't hardly stand up straight. Well they think I had pinched my syatica nerve and also a little uti I wasn't aware of . so with a week of steroids, strong pain meds, uti pill idk what it is, and another one, I am already feeling 200x better, but I am going to take it easy at first, straight up the house and all, then maybe next week get back into exercising. I want to know that after the pills are gone and done with, that the pain doesn't come back before I get to exercising alot. Which I iwll take easy for a while too.

I am going regardless on Tuesday morning. I feel like I've been hit in the tail bone iwth ah ammer, after 1 hour of sleep, she woke up, and it took me a few mintues to stand up well enough to walk.

I don't know if I just have a pinched nerve, but this is worse than any muscle i've pulled before. I want to cry. Also it hurts the most right after I've been lying down. I've tried lying on every side of my body, except my head, and no matter what, I get stiff quick nad the pain is hard.

Again ,seeing doc on Tuesday. I think more that it's a pinched nerve. I thin kI went to a doc. years ago for something similar and got pain relievers, and anit-inflammatory pills and antibiotics. i dont remember, but I'm sure there was some thing.

Regardless, doc will be seen for this just hope I can make it until then. Tomorrow is no option to go but skipping nap time. :(

I had a baby tub that fit into the kitchen sink..my son was bathing in there for well over a year, and he was no tiny peanut.

Regardless, you should still see a doctor.

Can you bathe her in the sink? That way, you won't have to bend over at all!

she's 10 months now, almost 11 months. i think it was from bending over the tub to bath her, but going to wait on hubby to get home from now on, and i'll run a bath, get in, and bathher, then he can lift her back out.

I agree that you probably need to strengthen your back, but NOT until you are healed and see a doctor first. Having a baby loosens your joints and can wreak havok on your lower back..I can vouch for that personally - my "baby" is almost 4 and my SI joint has never returned to what it felt like pre-pregnancy.

Well, I managed to do it again. Only this time, I think my lower back is getting stiff from , well, maybe I pulled it too, but when I bath the baby in the tub, I have to bend over to put her in, bed down to wash her, and pull her back out after, and stand up.

My lower back/tailbone area, right hip, and my legs up frm my knees, they are all strained and sore. After I have laid down for even just 1-3 hours at night between feedings, I go to get up slowly, and the pain comes back as soon as I begin to rise. It takes me a few minutes before I can stand up straight, and as of last night, I have to try and support myself with the wall or furniture until I've been on my feet a few minutes.

So, do I need exercises for lower back strengthening? I don't know if it's just pulled muscle again, maybe where I've pulled my back so much, it's in this much pain? I'm not sure, but the other night I was in tears it hurt so bad (I had a sinus headache and congestion on top of it all then). Now it's just my back and legs. HELP!

What do I need to do to help my back as far as exercising, and not making it more sore on the way?

Do you think this is a pulled muscle again?
