I agree with Jen; we are here for you.
I encourage you to discuss your depressed feelings with a doctor and having your vitamin D levels checked (simple blood test).

I second the doctor visit, and strongly urge you to ask about a physical therapy referral, if your insurance will cover it. A few visits may really help design some exercises for you that you can do and judge whether or not bike riding is something that will be appropriate for you at this time. I've done PT a couple of times for issues and have had much success.

The previous poster is correct. You really need to get advice from your doctor about what exercises are safe to try and what you should avoid.

Best of luck,

Sounds like you have some unpleasant health issues. Not fun.

First and foremost, make sure you have clearance from your doctor to get moving. And then maybe get a referral to a physical therapist who can help you get an exercise plan that won't worsen your health issues. Any suggestions we provide here may cause issues since we don't know your medical history.

I have both knees that need to be replaced. I have asthma, heart murmur, diabetes, abdominal pain that the doctor is trying to find out why for 5 years now. I want to exercise. I just don't know how. My husband bought me a bicycle for Christmas. I want to be able to ride it this summer. Help me please!!
