I run at 5-6 am 4-5 days a week but I get up at 4 something every day except Sunday. I actually got up at 3:45 once this week! A long time (10+ years) ago, I used to do 2 things: 1) make myself a deal for a treat for getting up early 2) I'd call myself all kinds of awful names to remind myself why I needed to go exercise. I'd always get it done, so after awhile it got really boring to have this mental fight every morning..there's no option, get up and go.
Nowadays I often have running partners that meet me at 5 am, and I also seriously have NO other time to run, and I have races to train for.
